Ugandan singer Veronica Luggya Nakiyingi, popularly known as Vinka, successfully staged her Live & Loud concert at the Lugogo Cricket Oval on August 21, 2026, bringing together fans for an evening dedicated to music and entertainment.

Organised by Swangz Avenue, the concert marked a significant moment in Vinka’s career as she headlined a major show and performed for her fans after years of building her name in Uganda’s music industry.
The event also attracted attention beyond music following criticism from some opposition supporters over Vinka’s perceived association with the National Resistance Movement (NRM). However, the political discussion remained secondary as the concert itself focused on Vinka’s music and her connection with her audience.
Vinka, whose real name is Veronica Luggya Nakiyingi, has a long-standing relationship with Swangz Avenue. She joined the company in 2013, initially working behind the scenes in artist management before transitioning into music. She later began her recording career, with “Level” among her early releases.
Having spent roughly a decade as one of Swangz Avenue’s artists, Vinka has grown into a recognised name on Uganda’s entertainment scene.
Her Live & Loud concert therefore represented both a celebration of her musical catalogue and a major milestone in her journey with the label.
Despite the conversations surrounding her public image, the spotlight at Lugogo ultimately returned to what Vinka does best—music, performance and entertaining her fans.
