Ugandan singer Gloria Bugie has revealed why she has yet to release a collaboration with another female artist, saying she has not found a singer she considers ready or deserving of such a project.
Bugie said she has so far not come across a female artist whose talent and uniqueness meet the standard she looks for in a collaborator. She believes artists hoping to work with her need to put in more effort and stand out from the crowd.

According to the singer, being an ordinary musician is not enough to secure a collaboration with her. She wants a partner who is as distinctive and talented as the artists she has previously worked with.
“You can see everyone I’ve worked with is very unique and very talented,” Bugie said.
Her comments have sparked discussion about the standards artists set when choosing collaborators, particularly within Uganda’s competitive music industry.
