The 19-year-old, who competed as Contestant Number 19, emerged victorious after competing against contestants from different parts of the country, bringing pride to Masaka City.
Nagayi’s victory marks a significant milestone in a pageant journey built on leadership, international exposure, sports, media and public speaking.
A Journey Beyond the Crown
Nagayi’s experience in pageantry dates back to 2024, when she became the inaugural Miss Uganda High School 2024/25. She later represented Uganda at Miss Teen International in India, gaining international exposure and experience in representing her country.
Her background also includes participation in Model United Nations debates, public speaking and leadership development. She further attended the Foreign Policy and Leadership Program and Early Careers Foreign Policy Analysis, which helped deepen her understanding of diplomacy, international relations and strategic leadership.
Sports, Media and Fashion
Beyond pageantry, Nagayi has pursued several interests, including swimming, basketball, athletics, music, dance and drama. She has reportedly represented Uganda as a national team swimmer, demonstrating the discipline and commitment she has developed through sport.
Her experience at NRG Radio also exposed her to media and broadcasting, while her appearance on the Bold Africa runway added to her experience in fashion and public presentation.
These experiences have helped shape her confidence, communication skills and ability to engage with different audiences.
Almorie Naggayi,
As the newly crowned Miss Uganda 2026, Nagayi steps into a role that extends beyond beauty and stage presentation. The title offers an opportunity to represent Uganda, engage with communities and champion initiatives during her reign.
Further details about the runners-up, her official programme and the activities planned for her reign are expected to emerge.
For Nagayi, the crown represents the culmination of years of growth and preparation—and the beginning of a new chapter in leadership, representation and service.
