Ugandan singer Daxx Vibez has said he has no plans to join the Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF), even if he is invited to attend a meeting and be briefed about the organisation’s objectives.
The singer questioned the federation’s purpose, alleging that it was established with the intention of silencing opposition figure and musician Bobi Wine.

Daxx Vibez also criticised the Uganda Performing Rights Society (UPRS), accusing the organisation of failing to pay musicians for their work.
However, the claims made by the singer regarding the UNMF and UPRS remain unsubstantiated, and no evidence was provided to support the allegations.
His remarks add to the ongoing debate among Ugandan musicians over representation, artists’ rights and the role of industry bodies in addressing the challenges faced by performers.
