As Uganda prepares to observe National Cleaning Day this Saturday, authorities have outlined categories of people who will be allowed to move as the country implements movement restrictions to support the nationwide cleaning exercise.
Patients travelling for scheduled medical treatment will be permitted to move, ensuring that access to essential healthcare services is not interrupted.
Hospital staff, including nurses and other medical personnel, will also be exempted but must carry valid identification while travelling on duty.
Other categories exempted include journalists on duty, tourists, security personnel and people travelling abroad.
Cross-border traffic will also continue along designated routes, allowing essential movement between Uganda and neighbouring countries.
The exemptions are intended to ensure that critical services and necessary travel continue as Uganda mobilises citizens and communities to participate in Natio
