KAMPALA, UGANDA — Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF) President Eddy Kenzo has addressed the ongoing controversy involving fellow musician Bebe Cool and bloggers and creatives who have raised concerns over alleged unpaid campaign-related work.

Speaking to the media, Kenzo denied claims that he is behind bloggers who have been speaking out against Bebe Cool. He said he has no role in directing the bloggers to attack or target Bebe Cool.
Kenzo explained that his differences with Bebe Cool began during the recent presidential campaign period but, according to him, the matter was later settled.
He said the two had agreed during the campaigns that Bebe Cool would handle the media personnel and bloggers working with his team. Kenzo, however, alleged that disagreements later emerged after Bebe Cool allegedly told some media personnel not to cover him.
The dispute has resurfaced as several creatives and bloggers have publicly raised concerns about payments for work they say they carried out during the campaign period. Kenzo has previously said that creatives who worked deserve to be paid.
Kenzo further said he is willing to help bloggers who have complaints, but asked them to formally communicate with his office. He said that if they write and submit their concerns to his office in his capacity as a senior presidential advisor on creatives, he can look into the matter and advise accordingly.
The latest comments come amid continued public discussion surrounding campaign payments and the relationship between the two musicians. Kenzo and Bebe Cool were involved with separate creative teams during the 2026 presidential campaign period, with previous reports also documenting disagreements between them.
Kenzo has maintained that the disagreements between him and Bebe Cool should not be used to suggest that he is coordinating the current complaints against Bebe Cool.

Conclusion
As the controversy continues to attract public attention, Kenzo’s remarks put the focus on finding a formal channel for creatives and bloggers to present their complaints. While allegations and counterclaims continue to circulate, the actual payment dispute remains unresolved, and the different parties involved are yet to reach a publicly confirmed settlement.
For now, Kenzo says his office remains open to hearing from affected creatives, while the public waits for further clarification from Bebe Cool and the individuals raising the payment concerns.
