FORT PORTAL, UGANDA — The people of Tooro Kingdom are mourning the passing of His Majesty King Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV, the Omukama of Tooro Kingdom.
His passing marks the end of a historic reign that began in 1995, when King Oyo ascended the throne at just three years old. Over the years, he grew from a child monarch into one of Uganda’s most prominent traditional leaders.
The news has sent a wave of grief across Tooro and beyond, with messages of condolence being shared by his subjects, leaders, friends and well-wishers.
At this difficult moment, our thoughts and prayers are with the royal family, the Tooro Kingdom, and everyone mourning the loss of His Majesty.
