The programme began at Karuzika Palace, where the late monarch’s casket was prepared for the final journey before being taken to St. John’s Cathedral.

The funeral service at St. John’s Cathedral is currently underway, bringing together mourners from across Tooro and beyond to pay their final respects to the late Omukama.

Following the church service, the funeral procession will leave the cathedral and proceed to the Karambi Royal Tombs, the traditional resting place of Tooro’s departed kings.

At Karambi, the final burial and royal rites will be conducted in accordance with the traditions and customs of the Tooro Kingdom.
