A brief exchange on X has drawn attention after journalist and public commentator Daudi Kabanda questioned what he described as a “milestone” celebrated by Deputy Speaker of Parliament Thomas Tayebwa.

Tayebwa had posted a congratulatory message to Bishop Patience Rwabwogo and the wider Kaguta family following her recent consecration to the episcopal office.
“Congratulations Bishop Patience and the entire Kaguta family on this milestone,” Tayebwa wrote, accompanied by a prayer emoji.
Kabanda, however, responded with a short but pointed question: “Which milestone?”
The exchange comes shortly after Patience Rwabwogo, daughter of President Yoweri Museveni and First Lady Janet Museveni, was consecrated as an Episcopal Bishop of Covenant Nations Church on Sunday, August 23, 2026.
The ceremony, held at Covenant Nations Church’s Maya campus in Wakiso District, marked a major moment in Rwabwogo’s two-decade ministry journey. It also coincided with the church’s 20th anniversary celebrations.
The consecration was attended by President Museveni and First Lady Janet Museveni, alongside several religious, political and other prominent figures. International evangelist Bishop LaDonna C. Osborn presided over the consecration, with other senior Christian leaders also participating.
President Museveni later congratulated his daughter, describing her elevation as an important new responsibility and expressing gratitude for her journey in ministry.
Kabanda’s brief response has since attracted attention online, with users interpreting his “Which milestone?” question in different ways.
